Synopsis
Witty and insightful look at the pursuit of happiness as seen through the eyes of a homeless man who is taken in by a rich but neurotic Beverly Hills couple. Dave Whiteman is a self-made coathanger tycoon who has a mansion in Beverly Hills, a Rolls Royce in the garage, a perfectly coiffed wife, two almost okay kids and a live-in mistress. If something’s missing in his life, he doesn’t know it. Then a homeless man tries to drown himself in Dave’s pool. Dave saves him, but doesn’t want to let him go. A man with no career, home, car or credit cards is so foreign to him that he invites him to stay. As Jerry becomes part of this big, noisy, dysfunctional family, he starts making a few small changes, then several big ones. The Whitemans will never be the same again!
